If there’s been one positive to come out of lockdown, it’s the emergence of a new wave of food delivered straight to your door. Let’s face it, ordering takeout is one of the few luxuries left to us when we’re spending our waking hours indoors, and The Hospitality Company team have been making the most of the newest additions to meals on wheels.
If you’re not residing in a London postcode, look away now, because these eateries are guaranteed to leave your mouth watering. Here’s our pick of the top London takeaways for lockdown (in no particular order)...
Eggslut, Notting Hill
While it’s name isn’t for everyone, its eggs certainly are. After a heavy evening of staying in and drinking too much wine, nothing quite compares to a morning delivery of a “Fairfax” - a soft brioche bun decked with scrambled eggs, chives, cheddar and caramelised onion, topped with sriracha mayo.

Bone Daddies, Multiple Locations
If it’s tasty noodles you’re craving, look no further than Bone Daddies, purveyors of “real Rock’n’Roll ramen”. The Tonkotsu Ramen is a crowd favourite, with a base of pork bone broth that’s been simmering for 20 hours! Though you’ll miss out on the in-house experience, having Bone Daddies delivered to your door is the next best thing. So, put on some Zeppelin, place your order, and get ready for a perfect night in.

Pizza Pilgrims, Multiple Locations
Now, we know this is going to be contentious. The competition for the best pizza in London is FIERCE and we’re not saying that Pizza Pilgrims is hands down the best, but we are saying that they’re definitely in the running. Try the Salsiccia e Friarielli which includes sweet fennel pork sausage and wild broccoli, or if you fancy a night off the meat, the Aubergine Parmigiana is the next best thing. There’s bound to be a location near you, so put your feet up and enjoy a meal prepared by someone else for a change!
Is there anything more comforting than warm, soft bread, loaded with fresh toppings (and served with a weighty side of chips)? Greek restaurant Pittabun offers just that - stodgy, carby deliciousness balanced out with super fresh ingredients to create a meal that is about as close to perfection as you can get. It may not be quite the same as sunning yourself in the Greek isles, but it’s the next best thing.
Feeling the need for something sweet? Nothing quite beats a tub of gelato, freshly made and delivered to your doorstep. Not only do Gelupo do the MOST delicious creamy desserts (try the “Bonet”, a combination of chocolate, rum, caramel and amaretti), but they also cater for vegans too. With or without dairy, you’re in for a treat with flavours including Pimms & Lemonade or Kiwi, Gin & Elderflower. Every freezer needs a couple of these bad boys at the ready.
